Chitrasaar
Chitrasaar comes from the words chitra (image) and saar (essence). It means the soul of images — where visuals hold memories, emotions, and quiet stories. Each image becomes more than what is seen; it carries a feeling, a moment, a memory from everyday life.
Shaped Gently, Made Slowly
Chitrasaar is a tiny homegrown label from India — built out of nostalgia and a love for things made slowly. It started from a simple place: wanting to create clothes that carry a bit of warmth, a bit of art, and a lot of heart.
Every print begins as a hand-painted artwork — sometimes inspired by everyday moments, sometimes by old sketchbooks or random doodles made without a plan. They’re then turned into seamless prints that still hold a bit of that raw, handmade charm.
All our pieces are made-to-order in small batches by local makers, using breathable fabrics and relaxed silhouettes that are easy to live in. Nothing rushed — just simple, thoughtful clothes meant to feel familiar from the very first wear.
At its heart, Chitrasaar is a little love letter to slow creation, to nostalgia, and to finding beauty in the everyday.
Founder, Designer & Dreamer
Chitrasaar was founded by Unnati Rajawat, a designer and artist who has always been drawn to colors, prints, and storytelling through fabric. Originally from Uttar Pradesh, Unnati graduated from the Unitedworld Institute of Design in 2023, where her love for surface design and printmaking grew stronger through constant experimenting with paints, textures, and handmade artwork.
After graduation, she worked as a print designer, where she experienced the journey of transforming an artwork on paper into something people could wear and connect with. That process stayed with her and slowly shaped the idea of creating a brand rooted in art, emotion, and individuality.
In 2025, Chitrasaar came to life — born from sketchbooks, painted papers, and the desire to create clothing that feels expressive, artistic, and personal. Inspired by everyday moments, galleries, summers, poetry, and handcrafted textures, Unnati sees each print as more than just a design — but as a story waiting to be worn.
